В заметке под названием «В пять раз быстрее скорости света», опубликованной на Яндекс-канале IMHO-science, говорится о том, что джет, вырывающийся из черной дыры галактики М87, движется в пять раз быстрее скорости света. В этой заметке дан перевод исходной статьи с sci-techuniverse.com, в которой авторы говорят не о факте, а об иллюзии эффекта движения со сверхсветовой скоростью.
Иллюзия – это далеко не реальность.
В других публикациях, посвящённых теме исследования эффектов и природы джета в галактике М87 (известной как галактика Мессье 87), также часто отмечается иллюзия возможности движения со сверхсветовой скоростью, а не факт обнаружения такой скорости в изучаемом джете.
Об этом заявляют российские учёные, использующие метод интерферометрии со сверхдлинными базами VLBI (аббревиатура Very Long Baseline Interferometry), который реализован с помощью самого мощного на сегодня радиотелескопа, находящегося на борту российского спутника «Спектр-Р».
Елена Нохрина (старший научный сотрудник МФТИ, руководитель проекта по исследованию струйных выбросов из активных ядер галактик) допускает возможность ошибки в оценке эффекта Допплера — как вариант объяснения причины возникновения иллюзии движения со сверхсветовой скоростью, приписываемой джету в галактике М87.
Японские учёные, изучающие это явление, также заявляют об установлении движения изучаемого джета с околосветовой скоростью, а не сверхсветовой!
Таким образом, мы имеем дело именно с иллюзией движения со скоростью, превышающей скорость света. Пока достигнуть такой скорости удаётся лишь писателям-фантастам в своих произведениях.
